"Places I've Lived Before", A Bird's-Eye Challenge by Sarah Lane
I've lived in a lot of different places in my short, short 32 years on this great planet. Here they are in Google satellite view, which isn't always 100% accurate, so I gussied them up using Skitch. All photos come complete with fascinating anecdotes if you click through to the original Flickr set. Oh, and my current apartment is not included in this collection. Sorry, but I just don't have enough chips and salsa for all of you to drop by. You know how it is. Can you beat my 17 former places of residence? You may only include those you lived for at least six months. Go ahead....I CHALLENGE YOU!
I can't beat you. I've only live in 9 different places and that's in my short, short 34 years of life.

Wow! You must be really old to have lived in that many places! And here I thought you were not a day older than 37.
my apologies.

Ok Sarah...enough lying about your age ;) If the rules are that you have to live in each residence for at least 6 months then how did you live in 17 residences in 32 years? Are you including life in the womb?

Wrong, Brian, I'm actually 47. And I like to kick, and stretch! See first sentence of this blog post. :)

Ok...So I can't count...sue me :D I was looking at the number backwards...I have the brain of a 4 year old.

I'm 40 and I've lived in 24 places that I can remember.... 25 if you count a 2 month stint in county jail for not paying my fines hehe.

I can beat you Sarah, but I'm also older than you. :-) Not sure I can come up with all the exact addresses, but I came up with a list of 20 places, counting my current house. I started in New Jersey, then New Mexico, Colorado, NM again, then California.

I can't beat you quite yet, but I have lived 15 places in 28 years. Seven of them in Sebastopol (but only one with a well ;-), four in college, and four so far in my grownup years. I used to think it was totally weird that my childhood friends had lived in only one or two houses for their whole lives. What a cool idea to Skitch up the Google maps!

Can't beat you. Being 27 and counting 7 different places, but all of those within the past 8 years. So I guess if I can keep up the pace I'll catch you some time. :)

We're tied -- but I haven't moved since 1997 (when I was a mere 32 years old - whoa...) If I can count the different buildings I lived in for 6 months plus while in college, then I've got you beat.
My mom used to write my addresses in pencil. I love my house (the cat and spouse are cool too) but I actually sometimes miss checking out new places and unpacking.
I miss your tales of travel!

24 Ha!
Mom moved us 5 times till we settled in Virginia. Albany NY, Boston, Troy NY, Vermont and Delancing NY. (5)
Once in VA, we lived in a condo village called St John's Wood (now a slum). Then Providence Green (condos). We lived in two different houses there. (8)
Then college (Richmond VA) lived in an apartment complex (Treehouse Apartment, Henrico Co, VA). Dorms for sophomore and junior years (Johnson Hall). (10)
Senior year(s) 2908 Monument Ave #3, 1128 W Grace St (Red light district, met Glen Danzig), Balsam NC (therapeutic adventure camp). (13)
Post College - Michigan (Battlecreek - 6 and a half months), 706 N Belmont #1 (Richmond VA), Waynesville NC, back to 706 N Belmont #3 (Richmond), 1138 Seminary Ave, 4001 Kingscrossing Ct, Fayetteville WV (7 months), 2905 Skipwith Rd (richmond Va), 2338 W Grace St # 1, 1227 Blue Jay Lane, 3910 Cutshaw Ave #2 .
Now granted I am 40, so I have a few years on you and some of those were close to the six month cut off.... living and traveling in the outdoor field had me moving.

Korbel Place?!! My house was about a block over on Canyon. We missed each other by couple of years though. I was there from 84~90. Darn, sooo close.
So how'd you like the Big City? I commuted over Calistoga Hill road. Worked at the glider port in Calistoga for a while. Burrrr.

Cool idea. I (new reader) have lived in about 27 places in 9 states and two countries, but a few of them when I was really little were for less than 6 months (shitty parents, what can I say?). Guess that makes my official number around 20 or so.
Moving next month, so I guess that'll make it 21...plan on being there for a while though.
