Cool,I'll be sure to check it out.

Patty

I checked it out, it's different from this one, so personal, I like it. I was wondering how was for you being with him 24/7.

Patty

P.S. Happy 30th birthday, was there a cake? How do you celebrate your birthday when backpacking?

Max

Just the dirt I was looking for.

iVillage.com was a bear to log-on to--I gave up many times. When I finally was able to read the multiple personalities' various posts, I can truthfully say I've finally been able to take sides in this intercontinental battle-of-the-sexes: I think you're both a couple of lovely-idiots, and I wish y'all the very best. Thanks for all the warm & fuzzy feelings. TIP: Brendan: Take care of the insects, and let Sarah deal with the humans--it'll be cheaper, for many reasons, in the long run. luvyaguys

Is it just me or is your other blog horribly misaligned in both FF and IE? All of the text is centered, and the background indicates there should be some sort of multi-column layout, but it is only one entire column. Also, the ivillage navigation doesn't appear to be where it should be. The page also takes forever to load :( Again, perhaps just a problem on my end?

Kerrie

HOLY CRAP!! That takes forever to load! I gave up at least 5 times then went to work and left the page to load and when I came home from work it was finally open. Geez!! I LOVED reading it though!

I'm to having problems loading it, but other than that is 'twas the best part of my day.

The best way to read it is with an RSS reader. It looks nicer, loads faster and the text is not centered! Try Google Reader.

Danny

You two crack me up! You always make me smile. I like everyone else had a hell of a time getting Ivillage to load.
If you two can make it through this year with out killing each other you will be married forever.

Ed

I've been following the blog for a while now, and I guess I've always wanted to know, and to ask - "Why?!"

Why are you stuffing your belongings in a backpack and traveling to remote parts of the world?

Why are you voluntarily putting yourself in a, as you said it, "high-to-moderate stress situation", immediately after your wedding?

And most importantly, if you don't have a huge slush fund built up someplace - why did you quit well-paying, high-potential jobs to do all the above?

Seriously. Why? If the "high-to-moderate stress situation" thing gets you an adrenalin rush; well, believe you me - being married has that, and a lot more. Give it a few more years.

I don't think this can be about "sticking it to the man" and going "off the grid". You're maintaining a couple of blogs and putting out video content regularly; so you ain't exactly "un-wired and alone".

I guess one of the only few valid reasons is "To get some really cool photographs", or "To get...experiences with people around the world"; but if you haven't realized this already - the world's round. After you've seen thirty "tourist spots" and twenty "beautiful, secluded spots" and ten "lovely beaches", you've seen them all. Ditto for people.

And finally, Florida Girl was right about India in November. Rains are unpredictable in their volume. Floods are the proverbial Damocles Sword. Ditto riots and political unrest. They love tourists and "foreigners", but if its the "rush" that you're looking for; I'd suggest skydiving.

If you've already done that, then you really have bragging rights to "Been there, done that", for pretty much everything the world has to offer. Seriously.

Everyone ages super fast after a certain point in their lives. I'm sure the travel and the aging and the close companionship will be great as a triage of personal experiences that you will undoubtedly cherish and nurture over the rest of your life, but my opion can still be summarized in the single line below:

We love you. Come back.

ivillage sucks, still can't get the link to pop up.

Sarah... When can we expect the next podcast?

jaqy Youso

this is the first time I posted a comment, just want to say that I enjoy reading your blog... thank you

I've always wanted to travel, and see the world. Once in college, I had a boyfriend that did not feel the same way. He said, "A tree is a tree is a tree." meaning that the trees really look the same anywhere you go. Why bother traveling?

You must not feel that way, and want to see if the world really is round and what is out there. Good luck to you, but please be careful. I read your post about not taking your anti-malaria meds on the ivillage site. Find an alternative medicine. Be careful, you certainly don't want to catch yourself getting ill so very far from home.

What happened? How was Cambodia? Will there ever be another podcast? Aren't you guys in Bali now?

We miss you! Keep up the good work and start posting again.

Or has the iVillage now taken over for this blog?

Sigh...

Phil

Has something happened to them or did they just get bored and stop?

Happy birthday Sarah!! I was wondering, are you guys going to update sarahlane.com with new podcasts/photos? Those were so fun to watch, miss them.
