The Yay Area
So I'm in the middle of moving, and you know what that does to free time and and an abundance of blog posts. Apologies to all who come here for my witty prose, only to find the same old links from a fortnight ago. After next week, I'll have a new place to rest my weary head and things will pick up around here. Until then, I'll be lifting with my legs.
Want to know what else I'm doing lately, and when? Ok. Tonight I'm heading back up to SF for the first time in FOREVER to cause a ruckus at an old favorite local haunt. Tomorrow I'll weep tears of joy as my dear friend Kerry weds her dashing fiance Sacha. Then I'll watch the Giants spank the Mets at Pac Bell on Sunday. It's going to be the best weekend ever, and I'm thrilled to be (almost) back home!! Bring on the fog!
leaving l.a. again. Why arent you into the dodgers or another sport such as basketball, and check out the new and better LAKERS. I think you should get into basketball, especially now that the LAKERS will rise again and win another championship.

I know it's none of our business, but it's obvious that Sarah and Kevin are no more. Give it up folks. And by the way, if you listen to Diggnation, Kevin will be in L.A. this weekend.

I read that you like a good record store. Unfortunatley (more like fortunatly, acutally) you don't live in MD, so you can't go to Record and Tape Traders.
It has everything that a good record store should. Good service, a large vinyl collection, an unlimmited amount of cd's from all the greats (jimi hendrix, elton john, Led Zep, ect. ect.), lot's of random goodies, good posters, books about marijiuana, band tee's, insence, and maybe best of all, a funny smell.
I know how much it sucks to move.

Sounds like you're going to have quite the weekend, Sarah. Hope everything was fun and that you have a safe trip.

San Fran is soooo much cooler than L.A. :P
Wait, nevermind that's on the Tony Hawk games, I guess I really wouldn't know. But you've got The Mythbusters and probably a building where tech t.v. once stood. The mayor is much cooler.
I wonder if Sarah knows any of the mythbusters.
I don't wanna jinx it either but anyone notice sarah IS giving us information and not just a link in this post, DESPITE all the comments up until this. What now, a theory about why sarah has been abducted by an alien posing as brenden and the replacement sarah is a robot forged for the higher ups and G4 to use in their politically incorrect agenda of overthrowing all of the technology in the world?

Posted by: Dwizzle | Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 08:24 AM
Sarah -
Stop calling me and I do not care if you are coming to SF. More reason for me to get out of town this weekend and go to LA.
Kevin

Sarah this weekend I've decided to unblock and click the google and amazon ads you have put up. I'm a wildman I know. Use the revenue from this to buy a housewarming gift from me. Nothing too fancy though...I was thinking of something practical like trash bags, detergent, bathroom tissue, stuff like that, whatever's on sale with your store's shopper card. One love
p.s.I'm clicking Sarah's ads WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF YOU?????

Hey was that really Kevin rose up there, or was that a two bit impersonator?
Posted by: Maximo | Sunday, August 28, 2005 at 07:52 PM
Sarah from your pics it looks like everything went according to plan without a hitch. I'm sure that catching up with your old friends and visiting the old spots brought out fond memories and sincere happiness. Hopefully with some of the new things you have going on personally and professionally you can experience the same love for LA that you felt in SF if you haven't already.
Now about my ad clicking pledge...I did click the ads every time I was on the computer this weekend, but from what I've read these Google ads are a little suspect, so chances are I clicked enough to get you some chewing gum(not the big value pack but the five stick pack). Just remember, the next time someone tells you after a lunch with a garlic ingredient 'Hey your breath smells great!' throw your hands up and tell them 'I owe it all to my fans and Google ads!' Happy Monday!
p.s. here's a funny headline that probably everyone has seen already but if you haven't seen it click the name.

Have a good time. Sarah, perhaps its time to try something new...

August 29, 1966 - The last live concert show by The Beatles at San Francisco's Candlestick Park. The last song was "Long Tall Sally." John & Paul bring their own cameras and Paul insists that an audiotape be made of the performance to mark the event.
Posted by: ringo | Monday, August 29, 2005 at 09:49 AM
BB - while your intentions are good, please be aware that if Google detects a significant spike in ad click-throughs, they might just decide to yank her ads altogether. They did it to Kevin P. - he talked about it at length on "Kenneth's Hour of Power".
Posted by: Eric | Monday, August 29, 2005 at 10:31 AM
it's good to hear from you. here's to hoping your weekend is a gooder. have a great one.

Posted by: BB | Monday, August 29, 2005 at 10:44 AM
Sarah why you wearing a ring on your ring finger on your right hand. It looks like a diamond ring that should be on your left hand, is it from Brendan?
Posted by: scotch | Monday, August 29, 2005 at 12:17 PM
Holy shit! It's a stormin' here.
Posted by: John-Paul | Monday, August 29, 2005 at 02:31 PM
Good show tonight(The Feed=100% Sarah) but I disagree with your comment about you being an old woman. Mabye standards are different in LA or on Television, but for the rest of the world or what I call the normal people you're still a young woman, capable of accomplishing anything you put your mind to. Have a good afternoon.
